A typical session may include:
08:00 - A member of the team arrives on site to check on the animals, feed and clean them out.
10:00 - We welcome our co-workers with a cuppa and then start the activities and tasks that
need doing.
10:30 - Polytunnel Session -. There are a variety of tasks that need to be completed. These vary throughout the year/seasons and include: seeding, planting, harvesting, weeding, composting and many others.
We use recycled materials as much as possible for planting our seeds and plants. These can include food cartons, egg boxes and cardboard toilet roll inserts. We also make paper pots for our seeds from old newspapers.
As well as growing flowers and vegetables, we love growing herbs due to their many uses: Culinary, Well-Being and Medicinal properties. We have quite the collection of different varieties of Mint.
12:00 - Lunch, it might be homemade bread and soup today or even vegetable noodles with food we have grown on site.
13:00 - After lunch we enjoy a craft activity , perhaps a dream catcher made with twigs and feathers we find on the farm.
14:00 - Session ends.
